Welcome to Carroll Lutheran Village: a Continuing Care Retirement Community in Maryland
BBJ Re-ranks Carroll Lutheran Village
In compiling the list of the largest continuing care retirement communities (CCRCs) in the Baltimore region, based on self-reported data—a list in which Carroll Lutheran Village ranks third in size behind Charlestown and Oak Crest Village in a list of 15 reported CCRCs—the Baltimore Business Journal re-ranked the reporting communities by the lowest minimum monthly costs.
The Village’s reported $834 was well below the next minimum monthly cost of $1,263. While there are any number of variables possible in such a listing—including size of units, items included in the fee, location of the community, to name a few—Carroll Lutheran Village clearly stands out in the crowd since the $834 includes meals, transportation, utilities, taxes, use of amenities and programs, maintenance and security, all things that CCRCs are known to provide their residents.
