The freedom of Independent Living
If you could do anything you like, what would you do? Maybe you’ve always wanted to express your artistic self on canvas or try your hand at writing a short story. Maybe you’d like to participate in community service, enroll in an exercise class or take up ballroom dancing. Or maybe you’d simply like to relax with a good book or go for a quiet walk down a tranquil country path.
At Carroll Lutheran Village, you can do whatever you like, whenever you like, for as long as you like. This is the freedom that Carroll Lutheran Village’s independent living lifestyle provides.
Residents have formed a travel group to explore sights like the Biltmore in N.C., Cape Cod and Philadelphia. Trips planned by Village staff have included destinations such as Vermont and Capon Springs as well as local sights in the Baltimore - Washington area. Residents broaden their education by taking courses at Carroll Community College or McDaniel College. If you like to play golf, there are four golf courses nearby. If you like tennis, there are tennis courts minutes from your door. Whatever you choose to do to make each day the perfect day, it’s nice to know it’s here for you.
Our housing options are designed to allow our residents to enjoy all that life has to offer, and to provide whatever level of support is needed to maximize independence, from complete independence in your own home to our assisted living services at Diven House.
Independent living means retirement with self-respect, self-determination, and the freedom to have fun. Here at Carroll Lutheran Village, that independent living lifestyle is yours.
