Club & Social Activities for an Active Retirement

Most of us spend our lives pursuing one path but secretly wishing we had time to pursue others. Maybe you’ve always thought you’d like to try to write poetry or start a book, but you never had the time. Maybe you’ve always wanted to try your hand at sculpture or painting. Perhaps over the years you’ve expressed an interest in learning to play the piano, learning a new language, traveling to distant lands, or taking up a new hobby.

Like everyone else, retirees need to be full and active members of their society. Carroll Lutheran Village provides you with many opportunities to have an active retirement, joining with your neighbors, in stimulating intellectual and creative pursuits.

For specific details on our active retirement lifestyle be sure and see our Monthly Calendar and our Special Events.

Our arts and crafts classes explore flower arranging, ceramics, screen painting and a host of other art forms. We have a painting class that meets once a week, where you’ll learn to paint in whatever medium you like. If you are serious about taking up the piano, we offer piano lessons twice a week with a qualified teacher. Trips planned by Village staff have included destinations such as Vermont, Capon Springs as well as local sights such as Ladew Topiary Gardens and the Hippodrome Theater.

And for those who always had an interest in dancing but felt they had two left feet, we offer weekly classes in ballroom dancing and line dancing.

Maintaining an active lifestyle is difficult when living on your own; so much time is taken up by the routine chores of living. Come to Carroll Lutheran Village, and let us take care of the routine so you can enjoy your active retirement.

At Carroll Lutheran Village, we believe these can be the best years of your life. You have the time to explore your hidden passions. That’s one of the pure joys of active retirement living at Carroll Lutheran Village.
